Participate in Special Events

Throughout the year the Hasbrouck Heights Learning Center hosts several events such as The WALK for Dyslexia and the annual Brunch & Tricky Tray. These events raise critically needed funds for the center to ensure our continued success in achieving our mission of providing a free of charge solution in the fight to overcome Dyslexia.

Become a Center Volunteer

In addition to the core staff and tutors, each Children's Dyslexia Center is sustained by the many volunteers who undertake such essential tasks as running the reception desk, answering phones, typing and helping organize local events to benefit the Center. We welcome your involvement in this exciting effort.

To become a volunteer, please contact the Board of Governors at info@hhdyslexiacenter.org.

Train to be a Tutor

One of the most important ways to help a child with dyslexia is to become trained as a dyslexia reading specialist.

Fairleigh Dickinson University is the only university in New Jersey with a comprehensive certificate program for training teachers in multi-sensory structured language using the principles based in the Orton-Gillingham approach. These courses form the core of the nationally accredited Dyslexia Specialist Training.
